ABOUT FaithCO
Faith Christian Outreach is a Christ-led, family centered, non-denominational church. FaithCO is a passionate church serving Shawnee, Oklahoma, but surrounding cities as well. Our mission is “LOVE God, CONNECT with others, REACH the world”.
We are a contemporary church with great praise and worship, relevant teaching, vivid illustrations and life changing moments with God. Each message series is carefully designed with people like you in mind: real people looking for real answers to issues they face every day. At Faith Christian Outreach in Shawnee Oklahoma, we are teaching God’s timeless truths from the Bible that speak to where you are living today… in your family, finances, career, and your relationship with God.
OUR STORY
In 1998, Pastor Travis Hurst, began a Bible study in a performing arts studio located in downtown Shawnee, Oklahoma. The small group of believers began to grow under God’s guidance and, subsequently, praise and worship and teaching were added to each gathering. Within one year, Faith Christian Outreach had raised enough money and resources to purchase property for a new facility.
FaithCO moved to its current location just off highway 177 near I-40 in 1999. Faith Christian Outreach had its first public worship experience on April 30, 2000–Easter Sunday–in phase one of the new facility. FaithCO continues to grow and to see many people added to His Kingdom.
Our passion is apparent as we continue to lead hundreds to come to know Christ through our ministry every year.

TRAVIS HURST
Senior Pastor
Travis, a third generation pastor, is noted for his innovative approach to ministry. He has a unique ability to bring the Bible to life in memorable ways using vivid illustrations mixed with humor and practical life applications.
Travis has been in ministry most of his life. He remembers preaching at age seven in the children’s area of the church where he grew up. By age 16, Travis had already obtained ministerial licensing and soon became a youth leader as well as a regional youth leader. Prior to pioneering Faith Christian Outreach, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1992 with a BBA in Finance.

BOBBY KUYKENDALL,
Chief Financial Officer
Bobby has been attending FaithCO since 2003, and began volunteering with the Media Department soon after. In 2005, he became the Chief Financial Officer for FaithCO, placing him in charge of all finances and bookkeeping; he also oversees all media production. Bobby is an Oklahoma native, graduated from Shawnee High School, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma. He has been married for over ten years to his wife, Jena, and together they have one daughter, Sabra.
